Elected Positions

Governor

The District Governor is responsible for the overall function of the district board. They train other district officers, appoint committee chairs, assign directives, build and maintain relationships with other Kiwanis-family leaders, and communicate district updates to the international board liaison also known as International Trustee. The Governor is elected at District Convention (DCON).

Secretary

The District Secretary keeps and reports all district minutes and maintains all records for the district, including Monthly Report Forms (MRFs) and Officer Information Forms (OIFs). They also provide support to the club secretaries. District Secretary is elected at District Convention (DCON).

Treasurer

The District Treasurer is responsible for overseeing a district budget, monitoring finances, approving all expenses, creating and filing all appropriate reports, and coordinating dues collection. They also provide support to the club treasurers. District Treasurer is elected at District Convention (DCON).

Editor

The District Editor is responsible for coordinating, editing and distributing The Circle Kapers, and notifying contributors of deadlines and requirements. The District Editor also has flexible duties that change year to year, such as the production of the district website for this year. They also provide support to club editors. District Editor is elected at District Convention (DCON).

Lieutenant Governor (LTG)

Each Lieutenant Governor is responsible for supporting and growing the clubs within their  division and serving as a liaison between the district and the club. Duties include publication of a newsletter, holding divisional council meetings (DCM), training and consulting with club officers and advisors, and serving on one or more district committees. Lt. Governors are generally elected before District Convention (DCON) at a DCM.

Committee Chairs

Membership Development and Education

This chair assists all clubs in the district to maintain healthy membership levels, properly educate and induct new members, and improve the quality of club leadership so as to maximize the growth of the club and the member experience. Recruitment

The Membership Recruitment Chair is responsible for ensuring that there are resources available to existing members so that they can recruit new members. For further information, contact our current Recruitment Chair Patrick at recruitment@floridacirclek.org.

Legal

The Legal Chair is the expert of our Bylaws and ensures that all aspects, from the club level to the District level, are adhered throughout. In addition to that, the chair must become well-versed on Robert's Rules of Order so that all Board Meetings are ran efficiently and legitimately. For further information, contact our current Legal Chair Vanessa at legal@floridacirclek.org.

Public Relations

The Public Relations Chair creates promotional materials and disperse it via social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc) to make all members in the District aware and up-to-date on LTC, DCON, CKIx, and other relevant events. Conventions

The Conventions Chair is responsible for planning and executing both the Leadership Training Conference (LTC) and District Convention (DCON). This chair maintains communication with his/her advisor, the District Governor, and other members on the District Board.  For further information, contact our current Governor at governor@floridacirclek.org.

Kiwanis Family Relations

The Kiwanis Family Chair acts as a liaison between CKI, Kiwanis, and the other Service Leadership Programs (SLPs) (K-kids, Builders Club, Key Club, and Aktion Club). This person plans a recruitment event for Key Club's DCON in April and is responsible for creating and distributing a directory with Kiwanis Family Contacts that they deem is appropriate. Service

The Service Chair is responsible for ensuring clubs have the necessary resources and assistance to plan and execute effective, meaningful, and impactful service projects. They also promote and support events related to the Governors Project each year. The service chair will compile a list of possible service projects that smaller clubs can use to help build their clubs. Webmaster

This chair is responsible for improving and maintaining the website.
